The Metrics Authors Should Track Instead of Likes
Never measure your content by likes.
Likes feel good.
They are not a business metric.
Here is what I actually track for every author I work with.
Are strangers reaching out.
Are existing connections asking about your work.
Are people saving and sharing your posts, not just reacting to them.
Likes mean someone agreed with you in the moment.
Saves mean someone thought your content was worth keeping.
Shares mean someone trusted you enough to put their name on your work.
Those are three completely different signals.
One builds your ego.
Two build your authorpreneur business.
Stop optimizing for the thing that feels good and start tracking the thing that pays.
