Founder and AuthorPreneur

Be the Messenger of Your Message.

My refugee story shaped me—I know what it’s like to fight for a voice.

That’s why I help experts and authors turn their message into impact. Your story, knowledge, and expertise deserve to be seen, heard, and open doors.

I’m an author, speaker, and marketing strategist who helps you cut through the noise and build a brand that matters.

I'm Hussein Al-Baiaty

It's been a journey from spending four years in a desert refugee camp after escaping war-torn Iraq to clinching that #1 Best-Selling Author title.

While trying to market my book, I had an epiphany: instead of just promoting the book, the book should be marketing me and my mission. I realized so many authors fall into this trap.

It's precisely why I've chosen this path: to speak to audiences, guide other authors in leveraging their books, and help you achieve your definition of success.

From a Basement to a Million-Dollar Printing Business

I kickstarted my business from a barbershop basement during college. Scaling it and growing a team, I turned t-shirts into a million-dollar company.

Using my marketing prowess, I made a mark in the apparel printing industry, catering to local favorites like the University of Oregon and giants like Nike.

My "Refutees" brand supports refugees, earning me distinctions like Oregon's 2018 Immigrant of the Year and the Portland Trail Blazers' 2021 Hero of the Month.

Chapters of Resilience

Growing Rising Authors

In 2020, I sold my printing company and wrote Art of Resilience: The Refugee State of Mind—a book about my journey from Iraq to a refugee camp to growing up in the U.S. That book opened doors to speaking and coaching, so I leaned in.

My wife and I moved to Arizona for a fresh start.

By May 2023, after an unexpected layoff from a publishing house, I launched Rise Media LLC and Rising Authors Marketing Services.

Now, I help non-fiction authors build their online presence, reach more readers, and unlock new opportunities—because stories with real lessons deserve an audience.
