The Email That Gets Your Book Into People’s Hands

Here's an email I've sent out to small event organizers to get my book in goodie bags.

Sometimes it works.

Sometimes it doesn't.

But, not doing anything will surely keep your books collecting dust or sitting in IngramSpark, not doing much.

Take action, use this email framework, and email an event planner for something that aligns with your work, expertise, mission, and book.

You can easily find events, conferences, and contacts via ChatGPT or whatever other search platform.

Please use it as a template and change the language so it fits your work, book, and event.

Subject: Free books for your attendees?

Hi [Name / Conference Team],

I know you’re busy, so I’ll keep this quick.

I’m Hussein Al-Baiaty, author of The Art of Resilience: The Refugee State of Mind and founder of Rising Authors, where I help leaders and creators communicate with impact.

My work centers on clear communication, creative resilience, and the stories that help people lead through challenge and change.

I’d love to send 25–30 complimentary copies of my book for your event goodie bags, completely free, shipping included. It’s a practical, story-driven book that inspires people to lead and create with clarity, no matter what they’re facing.

If it’s a good fit, I’d also be happy to contribute a short session or fireside chat about storytelling, resilience, and communication, whatever serves your audience best.

Would you be open to including the books in your attendee bags? I can have them shipped directly to your event coordinator.

Warmly,

Don't send this to one person.

Please send a variation of this to a few dozen people and events that you believe align with your work.

I hope it serves you!
