The Real Cost of Rushing Your Book

Why are authors in such a rush?

To finish the book.

To launch it fast.

To finally become an author.

They’re rushing because they think the book alone will fix it.

In some ways, I rushed my first book, too.

I sense that some authors rush because of a few things.

Fix their business.

Fix their brand.

Fix their confidence.

So they skip steps.

Skip the audience building.

Skip the real positioning work.

Skip the months (or years) of planting seeds that actually lead to readers, clients, and speaking gigs.

Then they wonder why the book flopped.

Why nobody bought it.

Why nothing changed.

I’ve helped dozens of authors.

And the ones who win?

They didn’t rush.

They built something worth paying attention to before they hit publish.
So if you’re racing to finish—

Ask yourself. What’s the rush really about?

Because speed without strategy is just burnout in disguise.
