Build a Platform That’s True to You—Not Just Popular

Everyone tells you how important an author platform is.

You’ve heard it more times than you can count at this point.

“Have a newsletter!”

“Post often!”

“Just show up!”

(yada yada yada… in my Kestanza voice here.)

People love telling you what to do without ever proving it works, or actually doing it themselves.

Every author is unique.

What’s comfortable (or uncomfortably necessary) for you is going to be different than for me, or for anyone else.

Before you build any platform, you have to get crystal clear on why it matters.

Who is it for?

Who will want to read, watch, and follow you?

Why would they stick around?

This takes a level of emotional strength and honesty most people skip right over.

Because it’s not sexy. It’s not instant.

It’s the deep work.

This is why you need accountability.

Someone who can actually see your brand holistically, and help you build the right components that matter to the right audience.

Most people just chase metrics, or spit out generic advice they half-believe themselves.

Honestly? Most of it isn’t for you. And it won’t help you.

What does help is:

Clarity: knowing exactly who you serve and why.

Commitment: showing up for that audience for 5–10 years, minimum.

Courage: to be not for everyone. Because that’s how you actually resonate.

Yeah, online platforms are powerful. Your page can even grow fast.

But only if you’re dead clear that you’re not trying to be liked by everyone.
Choosing your lane and staying in it through the slow, painfully steady months of growth is the hardest part.

That’s also the part where most people quit.

That’s where I come in.

I help you build an online presence that’s built to last, by being ruthlessly clear on who you are and who you’re for.

DM me if you struggle with this online presence thing.
